FitMag-March’16

Hello, my name is JC and I founded S.Q.U.A.T.S three years back as a Facebook page when I started my own journey of getting back into shape again after marriage. In the due course I also started reading more and helped a few friends, who were looking for help. As I Kept helping more and more people, more and more people started following me and the page. It was in April 2015 that I formed the group S.Q.U.A.T.S on Facebook and never looked back, from nothing to 20,000+ members.

The idea was to help anyone who’s looking to get fit, to provide them with necessary tools in terms of technical and scientific know-how, to transform oneself, and later on help others. The idea of the group was never to spoon feed anyone, but to make them learn things and then pass the knowledge to others. The nobility was such that the people whom I taught, now today have become full time consultants with us and are earning a decent income. An idea which transformed the lives of 2000+ people by making them fit, an idea which provided employment to 25 people (till date). This idea did not work because of me or anyone, this idea worked because people believed in it. Anything which people believe in works. If we believe, it is god, if we don’t, it’s not. I believe in what am doing and that’s why I’ve quit my job recently to put all my efforts and resources into taking S.Q.U.A.T.S to the next level, which also means, the 2000+ thousands more and 1 day maybe 50 million.

India is a country with more than 1.5 billion people with more than 50 million people suffering from diabetes. We rank 1 in the world, every 4 minute someone dies of a heart attack in India. It’s not genetics my friends, It’s bad lifestyle and wrong information which has prevailed in the society for long, e.g. Saturated fats are bad, cholesterol is bad and so on. We’re the flag bearers of this generation, the responsibility lies on our shoulders to ensure our kids will be happy and healthy.

Cheers!
